What makes the VL-1000 lights so special? In the past, continuous lighting equipment was limited to single-power bulbs and the only way to get variable power output was to have a light with two single-power bulbs. Using a rheostat or "dimmer" with a continuous photographic light wouldn't work because reducing the current to a light would cause the color to shift, and would result in abnormal colors (it's just like your household lights that have a dimmer capability - when you dim the light, you can see how the color of the light becomes more and more reddish-yellow). But now, the scientific community has developed a true, totally-variable continuous light, without any color shifts at all! Now we finally have a 100% variable, zero to 1,000 watt output with totally-accurate colors! No more having to move our lights all over the place, pushing them closer to, or farther away from a subject, just to get the right lighting and shadows for a shot. This is the ONE Light that can do it all! Video, Digital, Still Photography, movies, even film! Use it with all your cameras: your video cameras, your digital camera, film camera, camcorder, even your 35mm cameras.
